Flooring Repair Services in North York
Parqueteam Hardwood Flooring provides hardwood floor repair services throughout North York for houses, condos and other residential properties. We repair solid hardwood and engineered hardwood flooring affected by water damage, scratches, dents, loose or damaged boards and other localized problems.
Before recommending a repair, we assess the flooring type, extent of the damage and whether the repaired area can realistically be matched to the surrounding floor.

Scratch & Dent Repair
Minor scratches, dents and surface damage can sometimes be improved with touch-ups or other localized repairs. For deeper scratches, we assess whether board replacement or refinishing would provide a better result than sanding only a small section of the floor.

Water Damage Repair
Water-damaged hardwood can develop staining, cupping, swelling, lifting or buckling. Once the source of the moisture has been corrected, we assess whether the affected boards can be repaired, replaced or whether a larger section of flooring needs attention.

Board & Plank Replacement
Individual damaged hardwood or engineered hardwood boards can sometimes be replaced when suitable matching material is available. The best repair method depends on the flooring type, installation method, existing finish and availability of replacement boards.
Our 3 Step Flooring Repair Process
Every hardwood floor repair starts with identifying what caused the damage and determining whether a localized repair will produce a practical, visually acceptable result.

Step 1: Inspect the Floor Damage
We inspect the damaged area, flooring type, installation method and surrounding floor to determine the extent of the problem and what repair options are available.

Step 2: Choose the Right Repair Method
Depending on the damage, flooring type and available matching material, we may recommend a minor touch-up, board replacement, localized repair or replacement of a larger section.
For some solid hardwood repairs, replacing damaged boards followed by refinishing the entire room may provide the most consistent result.

Step 3: Repair, Blend and Finish
We complete the agreed repair, replace damaged boards where required and take care with board selection, fitting, transitions and finishing so the repaired area blends as closely as reasonably possible with the existing floor.

Hardwood Floor Repairs Done Properly in North York
Hardwood floor repair is not always as simple as replacing one damaged board. The right solution depends on whether the floor is solid hardwood or engineered hardwood floor, how the original floor was installed, the type of damage and whether matching material is still available.
North York homes often have solid hardwood floors that can offer more repair flexibility. When individual boards are badly damaged, unfinished replacement boards may sometimes be installed and the room refinished afterward to create a more consistent appearance. This can be particularly useful when an exact prefinished board is no longer available.
Engineered hardwood repairs can be different. If the original product is still available, individual damaged planks may sometimes be replaced. When the flooring has been discontinued or an exact match cannot be found, replacing a larger section or the entire room may produce a better result. This is especially common in condo flooring repairs where the existing engineered hardwood cannot be matched.
Water damage also needs to be assessed carefully. Replacing visibly damaged boards before the moisture source has been corrected can result in the same problem returning. We look at the affected area, condition of the surrounding floor and available replacement material before recommending the most practical repair option.
For scratches and dents, minor touch-ups may be possible. Deep scratches are more difficult to repair invisibly, and sanding only a small patch of an existing finished floor is not always recommended because the repaired area can remain noticeable.
The goal of every repair is to find the most practical solution for the existing floor rather than promising that every damaged area can be made completely invisible.
